Give Your Hotel the Makeover it Needs with Expert Painting Services
You ever walk into a hotel lobby and just feel all calm and welcome? More often than not its the colours on the walls that are doing the trick. In all the hotels we've worked on, a brand-new coat of high-quality paint can turn an average space into somewhere people would actually love to return.
As a painting specialist contractor who deals with hotels big & small across Sydney and beyond, we really care about helping yours look it's absolute best. Whether its a small inn in Surry Hills or a posh 5 star resort overlooking the harbour, our painting work is tailored to match your vision & make a real difference to how your guests feel.
Why You Need a Proper Painting Job in Hotels
Hotels are a lot different from homes. They get used all the time, people are dragging their luggage around & pushing trolleys etc. All that takes a real toll on walls & surfaces. We've seen many hotel owners just patch the place up or try & do it themselves, only to wish they'd gone with a proper pro when the finish starts looking tired & gets hammered in all the guest reviews.
Proper painting is about way more than just making it look nice, it's about making sure you get the most out of your investment. A high quality paint job does a lot of good in a hotel including:
- Create a great first impression that lasts all day as soon as your guests walk in.
- Protect the walls from all the wear & tear - its always looking fresh
- The right colour will make the lighting better - it's not just about looks
- Helps keep your brand looking good - whether that's posh & timeless or modern & trendy
We get that your reputation is on the line. Your property looks and feels just like your hotel's reputation. So we do each hotel painting job with care, precision and professionalism.
Our Hotel Painting Services
No two hotels are alike. That’s why our services are fully customisable:

Interior Hotel Painting
From reception areas right through to guest rooms, restaurants and conference facilities, our Sydney painters have got interior painting of hotel covered. They do it all with a focus on long-lasting finishes that are designed to withstand the day to day wear & tear, and we can help you pick out a colour scheme that really says something about your hotel - one that reflects your brand and style, creates the right vibe and atmosphere, whether you're after calming neutrals for a bedroom or something a bit more vibrant in a gym or bar.
We all know what its like to see paint peeling off in a bathroom or other wet area, you can bet your money its due to the wrong paint being used. Most of the time, it's a case of using a paint that just can’t hack it when it comes to humidity, moisture & high usage - and that's where we come in, using only the good stuff that can handle all that.

Exterior Hotel Painting
Sydney's weather is a real challenge, what with all the sun & constant rain we get, especially in winter. We reckon its worth splashing out on a top quality exterior coating system that can handle whatever the weather throws at it. Our team has all the experience & expertise you need on exterior painting, they can handle:
- Scaffolding and safe access for multi story building facades, we can sort that out for you.
- Protecting all the exposed surfaces like balconies, trims and the like with special coatings
- Keeping your building looking its best with regular maintenance painting programs, so your hotel always looks its best.

After-Hours Painting
One of the things that often keeps hotel managers up at night is the impact painting is going to have on guests. We totally get that. That's why we can work around your schedule, we can do evenings, nights & weekends to keep the disruption to a minimum, you might be surprised how often the guests don't even notice anything's changed, all they notice is that the spaces look cleaner and brighter the next day!
The Process of Painting a Hotel
Before we even start painting, we make sure everything is spot on by:
- Taping off the floors and all the furniture to keep it safe
- Addressing any surface problems that might affect the paint job
- Giving the walls a good prime if needed to make sure the paint sticks
Once we've sorted all that, we get on with applying some top quality finishes with the least disruption to your guests and staff.

Areas We Cover When Painting a Hotel
A quality hotel painting project involves much more than just walls. Here’s a quick look at the main areas we look after:
Hotel's guest rooms are where people tend to spend most of their time staying with you, so the overall finish needs to be perfect. You just can't have faded or patchy walls or the entire experience is going to start to fall apart quickly.
Our painting process is a pretty professional affair, we dive right in with a lot of prep work, fixing dents, smoothing out those uneven spots & dealing with any stains that are lying around. We then use a low odour paint that dries in no time so you can get the room ready for guests as quickly as possible.
Why the guest painting is really matter:
- Quality paint resists all the little scuffs and marks that guests can do, with luggage or just general use
- The right colours can make a huge difference, helping guests relax and feel like they're in a nice, comfortable space
- When everything's nicely painted up with no rough edges or patches it gives a really nice, well taken care of vibe
- In our experience a newly painted guest room can feel like you've had a complete renovation, without even touching the furniture.
The lobby's where the first impression is made, it's where you shake hands with your guests for the first time. Faded walls and scuffed corners can kinda send a message that you're not paying much attention, even if the rest of the space is spotless.
We take a close look at the prep work & use good quality paint designed to withstand all the traffic and cleaning that comes with it in reception areas.
Why painting a hotel lobby is so important:
- A nice reflective sheen can really brighten up a darker area and make the whole space feel more welcoming
- The good quality paint we use can handle every day wear from all sorts of things, including suitcases & cleaning equipment
- The colours you choose say a lot about your hotel & its brand, so you want to make sure you get it just right
We've seen hotels go from tired to really vibrant with just a lick of paint in the lobby.
Corridors may not be the most glamorous part of the hotel, but they are the lifeblood of your place, you see them every time a guest moves through.
Our team is all about getting painting in high traffic areas looking fresh for as long as possible, even with all the use they get.
Why painting hallways and corridors is so important:
- With our tough paint, those bumps and scuffs from luggage and accidents wont leave lasting stains
- The right colours create a sense of flow and calm in what can be otherwise pretty cramped & awkward spaces
- When the surface is clean and finished it really helps make sure your guests know that your place is being well looked after
Having a tidy, well painted corridor can really just make the whole guest experience that bit better.
these spaces need to look absolutely perfect for meetings, weddings, and any other big event. even a tiny scuff or two on the walls can easily make or break a client's decision to book.
we use top-notch paints that take great photos and can put up with the wear and tear of tables being moved in and out and equipment getting wheeled around.
why painting hotel's function rooms matters
- Having a top-quality finish can make a huge difference in how the light in the space falls and gives the whole place a really polished look
- scuff resistant paints do a great job when the furniture and decorations are being moved around all the time
- Neutral colours are a winner because they keep the space looking fresh and flexible even when you're switching up your decor for different events
In our experience, a fresh new paint job often earns its keep by bringing in more bookings.
Your dining area needs to be clean, vibrant and inviting while also being able to stand up to all the grease and spills that come with the territory, plus regular cleaning.
We specialise in paints that are designed exactly for places that serve food. they're durable, low in fumes and easy to whip into shape.
why it matters:
- stain resistant finishes help keep the walls looking their best even when they get splattered
- choosing the right colours can help create just the right atmosphere and even get people hungry
- Coatings that are designed with hygiene in mind are just what you need to meet those all important food safety and health standards
Guests will remember how the dining space feels and a good paint job that looks and feels fresh will really make a lasting impression
Bathrooms see moisture, steam, and frequent cleaning, if you don’t use the right products, paint will peel and mould will take hold.
Our professional painters prep thoroughly and apply mould-resistant, waterproof paints for long-lasting protection.
Why it matters:
- High-quality coatings stop moisture from soaking in.
- Smooth finishes resist soap scum and are easy to wipe clean.
- A bright, clean bathroom leaves a lasting positive impression.
We’ve seen plenty of quick fixes fail, proper prep and premium paints make all the difference.
Your building's exterior is what gives people their first real impression of it. Weather, pollution and scorching sun will quickly go to work degrading any paint that's not up to scratch, leaving your building looking dull and worn.
Our team has been using UV-resistant, weather-proof paint systems that do everything from protect to enhance your building's exterior for years now.
Why does it matter?
- Quality coatings make all the difference when it comes to stopping cracks from forming, paint peeling off and generally just looking like its seen better days is a major one.
- Painting your building is a pretty instant way to give it a bit of a face lift and lift your property's kerb appeal - it's amazing how a fresh coat can make it look like a whole different place.
- And then there's the money side of things - protective layers cut down on maintenance costs further down the track.
And let's not forget the psychological side, to prospective buyers, a well-painted building signals pride in ownership and attention to detail.
If your balconies are looking nice and inviting then you can be pretty sure people will want to use them. But if the timber and metal is exposed and looking a bit sorry for itself then you've got a bit of a problem on your hands.
We get the timber and metal prepped and then apply some serious protection in the form of durable outdoor finishes - these seal and protect all surfaces, keeping them safe for years to come.
Why does it matter?
- Keeping the weather out of all these exposed areas stops things like rust, rot & decay from taking hold
- Adding some slip resistance makes sure people can walk around without worrying they'll slip and hurt themselves
- And having a nice looking balcony does make a big difference, people are more likely to use it and enjoy it.
In our experience a freshly painted balcony is often the thing that really makes a property stand out to guests.
These spaces might not get the glory, but they say a lot about how you run your hotel. Clean, clearly marked areas feel organised and professional.
We apply hardwearing, chemical-resistant paints suited to heavy use.
Why it matters:
- Tough coatings resist oil stains, tyre marks, and spills.
- Bright lines improve safety and navigation.
- A neat car park makes a better first impression for guests arriving by car.

The roof is so often the first thing people notice as they approach a hotel, and in Sydney things don't get a whole lot nicer for it. A faded, worn out roof is just going to drag down the whole place.
We handle the roof painting bit from start to finish, which includes cleaning, prepping, fixing any minor damage and priming before applying premium coatings that are made for the Australian climate. We use high-performance paint that's specifically made to handle the intense sun we get down here.
This sort of paint;

- Is pretty much impervious to fading, cracking & peeling

Case study- Hotel Painting Projects
Case Study 1 - Total Makeover for the Ivy - a Boutique Hotel in the Heart of Surry Hills
Client: The Ivy Terrace Hotel
Location: Surry Hills - right in the middle of one of Sydney's hippest suburbs
Scope: A full interior repaint on all of their guest rooms, corridors, reception & staircases
Duration: a tight 3 weeks - no time to lose
The Challenge Lay in Not Causing a Stir
The Ivy Terrace Hotel - a four-storey boutique gem in Surry Hills - wanted a whole new look without shutting the doors on bookings or spoiling the guest experience. And that's exactly what they had to contend with - keeping the hotel running as normal while the painters got to work.
The Lowdown On Our Hotel Painting
To keep the hotel running like clockwork, we decided to roll out the project one floor at a time - working our way down from the top floor. This clever approach meant the hotel was business as usual right up until the final day of works.
Our crew made use of super fast-drying, eco-friendly paints that barely gave any whiff or disruption - and we tossed in some extra soundproofing to keep the noise down to a minimum for our guests.
The Result Was a Calming, Neutral Colour Scheme
We gave each guest room & common area a lovely fresh make over using a colour scheme that combines soothing neutrals with a soft eucalyptus green on the feature walls. It was carefully chosen to tie in with the hotel's pretty leafy courtyard & its unique boutique character.
The Outcome:
Not a single guest complaint or booking cancelled during the works
TripAdvisor started to notice big improvements within weeks
& a tidy 22% increase in bookings for the next quarter - not bad at all
What Our Client Said About Working With Us
"The guys on the paint team were absolute pros - so low-key you'd barely even know they were here. And our guests just loved coming back to their refreshed rooms"
Case Study 2 : Bringing a bit of fresh air to an old favourite - The Clarendon House gets new life in The Rocks
Client: The Clarendon House
Location: You guessed it - The Rocks, right in the heart of Sydney's CBD
Scope: All the exterior bits - the façade, balconies, and even the heritage details that make this place so special
Duration: Well, let's call it 4 weeks - but don't look for any guarantees on that one - all depends on whether the weather plays ball
Challenge:
This one's a doozy - you've got a hotel that's over a century old, slap bang in the middle of one of Sydney's most high-profile heritage areas. And let me tell you, the exterior was looking a bit rough around the edges. Peeling paint, water damage around the cornices and ironwork balconies - it was a painting job with a capital P for Problem.
Summary:
Our team of heritage painting experts chose a special Dulux Weathershield paint thats specifically designed for the likes of the Clarendon House - it's got all the right credentials to keep it safe for generations to come. We went to town matching the original sandstone sand colour with sage trim - a real challenge, but one we were pretty stoked to take on.
And then there's the messy business of getting council approval - lots of red tape to navigate, that's for sure. But we work pretty closely with a heritage consultant, so in this case, it was a pretty seamless process.
Given that we were right in the middle of Sydney's wettest season, we had to get creative with our timing. So we staged the whole thing carefully - paused when it rained and got the primer in quickly when the sun came back out, so we could keep moving without sacrificing any quality or durability.
Result?
This old girl is looking better than ever - still got all her original charm, but with a fresh new coat of paint to boot.
No more worries about water damage or peeling paint for a good while to come.
And to top it all off, council gave us their tick of approval without any drama.
Client Feedback:
"They genuinely looked after the building and sorted out all the council red tape with ease. Happy to say the finish is nothing short of exceptional."
Case Study 3: After-Hours Lobby Repainting at a Parramatta Hotel
Client: Westend Business Hotel
Location: Parramatta, Western Sydney
Scope: Repaint of hotel lobby, reception desk area, and main elevator lobby
Duration: 5 overnight shifts
Challenge: Paint high-traffic spaces without disturbing business guests
Summary:
The Westend Hotel is a busy hub for corporate types and daytime events , its doors never closing to the corporate traveller , so keeping things running smoothly without a hitch is key. Management needed a whole new look for the lobby, but without causing any ructions for bookers or guests.
To get the job done, we scheduled the lot for after dark - between 10 at night and 4 in the morning - so we could get all our work done without any of it seeping into the guests' day. Before we even started painting, our team worked late doing all the groundwork - everything we could do before the paint even hit the wall. Then we slapped on a special low-odour, super-fast-drying paint and made sure all the reception bits & bobs - desks & furniture - were safely wrapped up in custom-cut drop sheets. And the result was a brand new lobby that popped up out of nowhere, looking all fresh & whatnot, with nary a hiccup for the hotel's busy operation.
Result:
- No disruption to guests or daily hotel operations
- Modern new look aligned with brand refresh
- 5-star reviews mentioned the "clean, new feel" of the lobby
Client feedback:
“I didn’t think repainting overnight was even possible, but they pulled it off without a trace. Our lobby now looks like a premium venue.”
